2006 Middle Ga. Bulldog Club visit by Mark Richt

Thanks to Stebin Horne and Kerry Hobbs with the Middle Georgia Bulldog club for allowing us to take part of their program to visit with Coach Mark Richt.  This came about very quickly after we wrote to Coach Richt, telling him about Joanna, telling him what a huge fan she was, and that we had started a foundation to honor her.  Thanks to Patty Crump for chairing this event!

Thank you Coach Richt for supporting our foundation and for providing this faith-based quote.  Keep Coach Richt in your prayers, his wife was diagnosed several months back with cancer.

Most of us have had our personal experiences with cancer but it’s difficult to imagine what it is like to lose a child to cancer. To see the way Joanna and her family handled this entire situation tells me a lot about their family and their faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” “I never got to meet Joanna but I have seen the pictures of her in her UGA cheerleader uniform and I have read her story. I know she a special little girl and a huge Dawg fan because of her big brother Paul. I was saddened to learn that she had plans to come see her first game at Sanford Stadium in November 2005 but never got to come because she was so sick.
